I am a pre-licensed professional with a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in clinical psychology working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. I provide therapy teens-adults to overcome struggles with an eating disorder, college stress, internalized weight bias, identity development, and relationship patterns. I also work with LGBTQIA+ clients and aim to provide an affirming environment.
A passion of mine is working with individuals with “atypical” anorexia nervosa who have encountered weight stigma within and outside of healthcare systems. I am a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned therapist who focuses on fat positivity and body respect. My ultimate goal is to provide a corrective experience for those who encountered weight stigmatizing providers while on the path towards recovery.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Klarman Eating Disorders Center at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I received in my PsyD from the University of Hartford, and completed my APA pre-doctoral internship at the University of Connecticut’s Student Health and Wellness Center. My dissertation examined the impact of weight stigmatizing experiences in eating disorder treatment for individuals with “atypical” anorexia nervosa using both quantitative and qualitative methods. With 10 years experience in clinical settings, my training encompasses all levels of care for eating disorders for adolescents-adults, university counseling centers, general mental health, and clinical research settings. Prior to graduate school, I completed my bachelors degree with honors in psychology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Currently, I am under the supervision of a Massachusetts licensed clinical psychologist while completing my licensing exams.
Psychotherapy Services
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy to ages 15 and up, and of all cultural identities and backgrounds. My areas of practice are eating disorders, weight bias, identity development, relationship stress, life transitions, perfectionism, depression, and anxiety.
I am available to see clients residing in Massachusetts. Sessions will be telehealth on a secure platform with the chance to transition into in-person care later this year. I offer 15-minute phone call consultations to determine if I am the appropriate fit for your needs. If not, I will help with providing additional referrals.
Clinical Approach
As a therapist, I believe a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship is the basis for creating meaningful changes in life. My approach is humanistic, relational, and emotion-focused, while drawing from psychodynamic, feminist, acceptance and commitment, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and I practice cultural humility and focus on intersectionality as they are ethically imperative. My goal is to create a safe and affirming environment for my clients to be vulnerable and take risks in our work together.
